John is the husband of my witness at the wedding, Gemma Wright and they have been married for over 2 years now, so we have had loads of good advice from the pair of them! I have only known John for a year or so but we have quickly formed a great friendship and I was delighted when he accepted to be my Head Usher for the big day.

John is a LCpl with the 34 Engineer Field Squadron squadron based in Waterbeach, Cambridge. We were sure John's military discipline was going to be a great bonus in keeping everyone else in line! ...especially the other Ushers!

John looked like he was sadly going to miss the wedding as he had been posted out to Afghanistan with the British Army for 3 months, thankfully he returned safely and ahead of schedule so he was there for the big day. Phil Hampshire is sharing the duties with John on the day as our other Head Usher.
